Slow Down! Home Price Growth Slowest In 7 Years (Seattle Negative, Phoenix Fastest Growing), Manhattan Retains Crown With Highest Rents

According to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller home price index for July, home prices grew at the slowest past in 7 years.


While the CS 20-city index rose at only 2% YoY, the broader US index rate at 3.18% indicating that smaller markets are seeing faster growth.


In YoY terms, Phoenix AZ leads the nation at 5.8% with Seattle in last place at -0.6%.

While New York has almost 0% growth in home prices, Manhattan has the highest rents in the USA.
