Covid Strikes! San Francisco Leads In Declining Rents At -20% YoY, NYC In 2nd Place At -15 To -17% YoY

Zumper, the apartment site, just released their apartment rents for October. And they are horrifying for the owners of rental properties (but a blessing for renters, of course).

San Francisco and New York, the Covid shutdown leaders, still have the highest apartment rents in the nation. Washington DC is the seventh most expensive city.

San Francisco and New York are seeing huge declines in both 1 and 2 bedroom units.

On the other hand, Scottsdale AZ rents are rising. The two biggest gainers in rent were Newark and Baltimore! Two faces have the rental market.
